Tour de Julian

Website Info:

Description:
55 miles--all uphill
Bring lots of food to prevent bonking!
This ride will take longer than most 55 miles. I'm not kidding about the uphill part!
Also, it is often very windy and temperatures are usually cool in the fall (snow in winter). In November, expect 40s.
The ride is extremely scenic--lots of farmland and national preserve acreage. Not a lot of places to stop if you break down. Also, cell phone service is spotty.
If you live at sea level, remember to account for the effects of altitude (start at 4,000, end at 5,000).
Worth it? Definitely!
